WA - Seattle: 1984 Vanagon Westfalia Camper

A contractor working in Blue Stone Apartments spotted the van in a private enclosed parking garage underneath the building. Kathy, the owner drove to the apartments and spoke to the manager. The manager would not let her in the garage to retrieve the van, he said to call the police. She spoke to the cops and they said to speak to the manager. Kathy spent 2 hours before finally getting someone to let her in the garage. The thieves used paint thinner to try to remove the black stripes and when that didn't work they painted the entire lower half with an oil-based house paint. Van is back home safe and is now undertaking a very deep cleaning as it was obvious it was used to shoot up and/or smoke meth.
