CA - Oakland: 1984 Vanagon Westfalia Camper

Status: RECOVERED
Status Date: January 24, 2024

The AirTag I placed in the van got a ping about a mile away. I drove there and found the van parked near a homeless encampment close to Laney College student parking lot. The van is pretty stinky and all my gear that were in cabinets had been pulled out, but only a few tools were missing. They also left some wet clothes and a big roller bag of chips and candy. It was pretty apparent they were planning on returning at some point. Van is in a secured lot for the time being until a proper kill switch and other measures can be added.
